As some of you may know, each Fashion Week in Minnesota exits with a bang as the Envision Fashion Show wraps it all up. This year was their 10th anniversary and marked the 20th Envision fashion show. The runway show, starring Ignite Models and local Minnesotan fashion designers, has grown into a must-see event with tickets in high demand. We were lucky enough to snag a front row seat to this year’s event.

From casual to evening gown attire, the designers hit all the marks with their Fall 2016 collections. New color palettes, bold patterns, and striking pieces dazzled us throughout the entirety of the show. Let us break down some of our favorites.

Emah the Label started off the show with a line she is so evidently proud of (and rightfully so!). She described these pieces as “softer” than any of her previous and as an expression of a period of transition in her life right now. Well girl, whatever you are transitioning into will be beautiful because these soft, neutral pieces absolutely stunned. I must say, the little details like the tassels at the hem of the pants or the stitches on the fabric were what really captivated us.

We hardly needed an introduction to recognize this next designer. Although we always see a different twist with her pieces, her distinct style always stands out. Joeleen Torvick’s Fall line was no exception this year. What we liked most was her pieces are wearable both early and late fall and dabble in the worlds of both comfort and glam. Also, can we talk about how perfect the color changing backdrop by Jonathan Rodriguez is? We were also swooning over the Aldo shoes hardcore with Joeleen’s collection. Ok, all the collections, but this one especially!

Next up, we got to see a little Latina flavor shine through with Reinier Vigoa’s Fall collection. The colors and the range of functionality in the pieces was amazing. Vigoa is not afraid to go all out glam with his pieces. From rhinestones, to silky fabrics, to evening gowns, he showed it all. We love his ambition to stay true to his roots and add small yet dramatic elements to each piece. The velvet detailing on the navy pants (seen below) was one of our favorite parts of the show.

Excitement always fills the room when the first male model hits the floor. Something about a man in high fashion. Russell Bourrienne had the pleasure of being the designer to arouse the crowd with the first men’s line on the runway. We felt as if we were swept away to the high streets of London on a chilly day. Sound crazy? See for yourself!

For the second season in a row, Kindred Folk has swept us off of our feet, making us make room in our closet for pieces from their latest collection. The designers, Jennifer and Kimberly have rebranded Kindred Folk and showed up at Fashion Week MN better than ever. In our opinion, you can’t go wrong with accents of gold, fur, and fringes. These two have brought it to a whole new level and absolutely slayed it this year! Their hard work and dedication to the craft shows in everything they do. We were so glad to see their latest and greatest on the runway last week. Can we just live in these outfits?!

Cliche is the only boutique to enter the fashion show. They are admittedly not designers or stylists, but we think they do a pretty good job dazzling the runway with some of the latest pieces you can find in store.Their color palettes for the runway are always so on point!

ACG surprised us with a more artistic, urban expression. We love seeing a totally new concept come alive on the runway at Envision. This season, ACG was the artist to present that to us.

Cold Venus set the standard for holiday party dress goals. This evergreen dress was another one of our favorite pieces at the show.

Raul Osorio was the only designer to incorporate both men and women’s fashion and we were quite impressed. His looks are very “street fashion-esque.” He’s currently based out of LA and was once a contestant on Project Runway. His experience shines through his pieces as he presents a line that seems ahead of it’s time. I think we just might be ready for it though.

This next collection definitely stood out from the rest. Spencer Versteeg is a breakthrough artist. A clear passion for detail and elevated taste shined through each of his pieces. His designs cater to working women, for whom he notably has a high respect. We had the pleasure of sitting directly across from Spencer’s family as the models walked the runway in his collection and it was an absolute joy watching them light up with pride. His work definitely deserves high praise.

We felt all the Fall vibes with this next collection by Kyra Deva. We can see these being some must-haves all season long. I mean, we literally gasped when we first saw this tan and black jacket. How gorgeous is it?!

Silk, feather, and velvet. Yes, yes, and yes. George Moskal gave us all the feels with his sophisticated Fall collection at the show. The more luxuriously soft textures we can pair together, the better. Not to mention the gorgeous jewel-toned colors he stayed true to. We’re thinking these are a few more Fall must haves this year.

And finally, Xee Vang hit the floor with her contemporary vintage Fall line. It didn’t take long for us to fall in love with the clothing. We adore her sophisticated patterns, neutral colors with pops of bold colors, and jewel accents.

Fashion Week in Minnesota has come and gone once again. How one city brings together so many talented, passionate individuals in just a couple of weeks is beyond me. The festivities surrounding fashion week are outrageously inspiring. Minnesota truly has a wonderful fashion scene that we are lucky to be a part of. Stay inspired, beauties!

Xoxo,

Andrea & Whitney
