It has been just a little over a year now since we started this blog. Say what!? It all started with us sitting on a bench in Central Park, looking at the New York City gorgeousness and knowing that we wanted more, we wanted to accomplish more, meet amazing humans, we wanted to find a way to succeed, on our own terms.
It’s been a year and a half since I graduated college. With a number of my friends still in school, I can’t help but reminisce on the college days. This past year has been full of ups and downs, all of which have been great learning experiences and I wish I could share them with everyone. Especially the ones that I see scrambling to graduate and job hunt while balancing the rest of their day to day lives. It’s no easy task. I was born with a travel bug in my body and am always seeking new ways to just get out and explore a new place. This past fall I hiked up this 14 mile adventure and fell completely in love. Superior Hiking Trail to Bean and Bear Lake overlook makes me feel like I teleported to the top of the Rocky Mountains. Incredibly hard to believe that a corn filled state has hidden gems that gives me the biggest nostalgic feels of the mountains in Colorado.

Getting older, you really start treasuring certain memories, for example, being 7 years old and running to your local small town grocery store, Hy-Vee, to get that free chocolate chip cookie after school. Five years after moving up to the cities, Hy-Vee started opening up stores like wild fire. All we kept hearing was people raving about how great it is, affordable and how the options are endless. So we decided to hop on the bandwagon and headed out to see what all the talk is about! Walking up to the store brought back those childhood memories and awakened a new shopping experience.

As some of you may know, each Fashion Week in Minnesota exits with a bang as the Envision Fashion Show wraps it all up. This year was their 10th anniversary and marked the 20th Envision fashion show. The runway show, starring Ignite Models and local Minnesotan fashion designers, has grown into a must-see event with tickets in high demand. We were lucky enough to snag a front row seat to this year’s event.
